Growth of Pot Tourism in USA

If you love traveling and you also love Marijuana, Pot Tourism might just be your thing. This new trend of tourism in USA is now a real thing. As four of the USA states legalizes the selling of recreational cannabis, travelers with a desire to smoke a pot while wandering around would be able to find their paradise.

Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Alaska are the four states that a pot smoker can travel across.

Where is trending pot tourism most legalized?

  • Colorado is starting to feel like an Alpine Amsterdam, with marijuana tours and private cannabis clubs mushrooming all over and attracting tourists from as far as Australia and Singapore.
  • Washington is yet not a close companion of Colorado. There are significant restrictions for pot consumption. There are many practical details to be worked out about how the law will actually be implemented. Washington’s weed tourism services are still being developed.
  • For Alaska, if you are 21 years or older, you can buy and carry up to an ounce of marijuana. However, the state still has some places where marijuana is not allowed like national parks and some private property.
  • Oregon has legalized recreational use of marijuana for people aged 21 and older. Adults are allowed to possess up to eight ounces of dried marijuana and up to four plants. But consumption of any such cannabis is yet restricted in public places.
  • Tour operators’ say on Pot Tourism

There are companies like Cannabis Tours, Ganjapreneur, Denver Marijuana Tours, My 420 Tours, and many more that organize marijuana tours in USA.

“Cannabis is turning into something akin to the wine industry,” says Michael Gordon, CEO of Kush Tourism.

“People who come here are able to walk down the street with a joint in their pocket with no paranoia. We’re like your Colorado friend who holds your hand and shows you this is real.” says Matt Brown, founder, My 420 Tours.

People would be too high to remember what they did while traveling! We might soon hear people saying, “I went to Colorado for the marijuana, but the skiing was also nice.”
